COVID-19 Update

As of 12/13/2021, New York State has implemented new regulations regarding masks and vaccination.

Under the new regulations, if a company allows any unvaccinated person over the age of 5 to enter the building at any time, then all people in the building must wear a mask at all times, regardless of vaccination status. In fairness to our employees who have chosen to be vaccinated, the difficult decision was made to require proof of vaccination to enter our facility.

Put another way, if our policy allows even one person to enter the building without proof of vaccination, then our entire team must wear masks at all times, even when there are no unvaccinated people in the building.

If we fail to comply with the new regulations, we face fines of $1000 per occurrence as do the individuals who are not complying with the regulation. There are potential criminal penalties as well.

Due to this, we are required to check proof of vaccination for all people over the age of 5 before they can be allowed to enter the building. Please be prepared to show proof of vaccination and identification when you come to our retail shop. We can accept Excelsior Pass, Excelsior Pass Plus, SMART Health Cards issued outside of New York State, full-course vaccination through NYC COVID Safe app, a CDC Vaccination Card, or other official immunization record.

Everyone age 12 and up must be fully vaccinated. In accordance with CDC's definition, fully vaccinated is defined as 14 days past an individual's last vaccination dose in their initial vaccine series (14 days past the second shot of a two-dose Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine; 14 days past the one-shot Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine).

Children ages 5 – 11 only have to show proof of having had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccination.

Curbside Pickup

We understand that not everyone is vaccinated, and that not everyone can be. To serve our customers who are not vaccinated, we will be offering curbside pickup. We are working on changes to our website to facilitate this. In the meantime, if you would like to place an order for pickup, please place your order online and call us at (800) 801-2318 to let us know that you will be picking it up.

Pickup Order - Shipping Fees Will Be Refunded
Until the website enhancements are completed, orders for pickup may be charged our usual shipping fee, however we will refund that fee back to you. As soon as the website is updated, that fee will no longer be applied to pickup orders.

Pickup Order - Processing Time
Pickup orders will be processed as quickly as possible. We expect it to take less than an hour for processing. In most cases it will be much less than that, but please allow at least an hour in case we have trouble locating and item that has been misplaced in our warehouse. When your order is ready for pickup, we will give you a call to let you know it is ready.

Orders may be picked up during the following hours:
Monday - Thursday: 10am - 7pm
Fri - Saturday: 10am - 5pm
Sunday: Pickup not available on Sundays

Pickup Orders - How to Pick Up Your Order
Please have your order number and identification with you when you come to pick up your order. When you arrive, please call us at (800) 801-2318, or come to the door and ring the doorbell. Our team will bring your order out to you. Our staff member will be wearing a mask and we ask that you please wear one as well.

Sunday - Wednesday: Closed
Thursdays and Fridays: 12pm - 5pm
Saturdays 10am - 5pm

We continue to ask all customers and employees to wear a mask while in the retail shop, even though they are fully vaccinated. While we regret the inconvenience, we would rather err on the side of safety.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the ever-changing COVID-19 pandemic. I know that some people will be upset by the new rules, and I know that we may lose some people's business over this. I regret that this is the case, but I would rather suffer financially than to create an environment that allows our customers or staff to become ill or, heaven forbid, die. Please do not take out your frustrations on our staff. If you have issues with our policy, please direct your complaints and concerns directly to me. I have set up the email address for this purpose. All emails to this address will come directly to me and I assure you that I will read every one.
