An incredibly versatile material, peacock eyes are used as a body material on many patterns and in many ways. Wrapped around the hook shank, it created an iridescent body, but that's just the start. It has been used for thoraxes, ribs, tails, and even in wings on streamers. Strip the eye flume and you have a quill body. The dyed colors add a new dimension to quill bodied flies.
