ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Ralph Graves, known as one of the best wet fly tyers in the Catskills, started his tying career when his mother gave him a fly tying kit as a present more than 50 years ago. Since then, he has tied with the likes of such tyers as Poul Jorgensen, Herb Howard, Charlie Defeo, and many others. Ralph also tied flies commercially for Walt Dette for a few years. He is the creator of the famous 'Old Glory' salmon fly and presented one to President Carter, an avid fly angler himself. Ralph is a member of both the Catskill Fly Tying Guild and
of the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum.
Ralph & his wife, Theresa, make their home on the banks of the Willowemoc near Roscoe, New York.
